I had the privilege of participating in the Ukrainian Infrastructure Forum 2018, where at the railway and suburban transport session I briefly told how the transport modeling helps in justification of the projects. The main purpose of transport is to improve the accessibility. Any transport project do it in one way or another, but the resources for the implementation are not endless. So, we have to choose the best project. For this propose we conduct research, collect data, build urban, regional and national transport models, in which we then calculate the scenarios and make a prioritization for the projects.

It is very important to develop a good public transport also for suburban territories in order to the future invasion of private cars, including European diesel cars that will be banned in EU cities. And we in Ukraine do not have so much time.
